The Creator, Justin Roquand, he always had great projects on popular franchises that parodied, but Universal always rejected his propositions.
However, he presented his project parodying on the future in a contest of Channel 101 of Adult Swim, which he won. After this recognition, Roiland contacted Dan Harmon, to end the project that would give rise to the series that triumphs today on digital platforms.
