For Naruto lovers it is important to meet Kishimoto to understand what led the artist to create a totally new universe that has transcended the history of manga and has captivated so many. What we all agree with is that Kishimoto is a genius, but now we are going to know his story and what inspired him when creating his peak work.

Kishimoto was born in Nagi, a town near Hiroshima, in 1974. Nowadays the author of Naruto is only 47 years old, which means that when he took out his first installment of Naruto in 1999 he did it with only 25 years.

As a child he already consumed anime - his preferred animation series was Doraemon - and in fact he began to be interested in manga drawing at a very early age. Urban legends say that he made drawings even in his own poop. We do not say it, we have heard it out there.

His first reference was Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, who obsessed for many years Kishimoto and was undoubtedly his great reference when creating Naruto. Although before he began writing a manga on a ninja child of the shadows, which Haatari-Kun titled.

But it was not until later, that Kishimoto crossed with a poster of the movie Akira, by Katsuhiro Otomo, when he realized the passion that aroused the drawing in him. His admiration for Otomo was such that he spent years studying his way of drawing, but he realized that he had to create his own style, a unique way of differentiating himself with others. And in fact it is its modern version of the Japanese Ninja, which is taken as a reference in the world of current manga.

Later, he began his higher studies in art and that was when his first comic was published in the magazine Shonen Jump, Karakuri, which was selected for the Hot Step awards of the Shueisha publishing house.

Since then he began working in the magazine, where he was rejected many of his works. It was not until a few years later when he published Naruto's pilot episode, the manga that would grant him fame worldwide and that later became an animation series produced by Pierrot Studios.

Fifteen years later, in 2014, Naruto reached its end with 72 volumes, 700 chapters and more than 200 million manga sold.

So far a small brushstroke of the history of the manga artist who presented us to the best Hokage that is known, and whose essence caught us from the first chapter.
