There is still no official confirmation that the second season of the successful series of ‘The squid game’ is going to be done, but what we do know is that if it is done, we already know where the shots will go.
The series director, Dong-Hyuk Hwang, who has caused a historical ‘boom’ at the audience level, has revealed us where he will focus on that second season. Hwang has assured that the main approach will go on the police issue that has wrapped the famous game and tried to unmask detective Jun-Ho, who decided to act alone.
His idea is to stage a problem that for him is not only widespread in South Korea, but throughout the world: passivity in police intervention. For Hwang, one of the main problems of the world and so many people end up becoming victims, is the lack of forcefulness and speed of police forces.
In the words of the director himself: "I see in the world news that the police force may take a long time to act on things: there are more victims or the situation worsens because they do not act quickly. This was an issue that I wanted to raise. Maybe in the second season I can talk more about this."
So we already know that it will be a second much more police delivery than the first and that will show how determining that it can become a rapid police intervention in certain cases that could be qualified as “mild”.
We hope impatient the official confirmation of that second season and that we will let you know as soon as it occurs. What leaves us doubts is that we are eager to know the reason for many of the questions that were left in the air to be resolved and that we hope they have an answer sooner rather than later.
